Stanley doesn't think twice about trying to catch hold of Ford's shoulders again because these are his brother's shoulders, that was his brother's scream, and all he knows is that he needs to help. He isn't thinking of those times when they were boys, because Ford's never woken up like this, he's never seen Ford wake up like this. He's never seen anyone wake up with a scream like that, not outside of a couple really bad trips he's seen, and outside of movies, but you never get that kind of scream in movies, that makes your heart thump hard and your entire brain just shut everything down except the need to do something. God, something.
"Jeez, Ford, it's, it's me, okay?" Stanley recovers from the shove - it didn't send him far - and moves closer, reaching out to try and bring them closer together. As long as they stay close everything's gonna' be okay, and he believes that without even a second to consider it, believes it before anything but the most basic parts of his mind have even had time to come awake yet. "It's me! Breathe! It was a dream, you're okay!"
