Luckily - or not - for Stan, he doesn't know enough about Ford to know that, in a different conversation, Ford could also be talking about him. He just catches Ford's moving back up to the mark Stan melted into his brother's skin, and takes what Ford told him in that diner and makes a guess at it. "Yeah, well, somehow I doubt that asshole ever sat you down at the breakfast table for a honkin' big pile of pancakes. It's a different kinda' thing."

"Pancakes are simple, right?" he goes on a second later, quieter because he's talking mostly to himself. "I bet I could figure out pancakes."
