[Stanley is still on his first cauldron. He's probably going to be on his first cauldron for a while. He isn't cleaning it so much as telling it off. For some stupid reason, this is having no effect on the stains.]
Virgil is mostly bewildered, and a little entertained, watching Stan fuss at his cauldron. It, at the very least, made detention- and entirely unfair detention, in his opinion- a little more fun. He snickered, dropping his brush into the cloudy soap water of his own cauldron.
[The small, scrawny gryffindor shut his mouth tightly. He glanced away, picking the brush up again and using one hand to point at the cauldron in Stan's hands and continue scrubbing. Theres a bit of a smirk, even if he's trying to keep himself out of trouble.]
[Great, you've brought an actual scowl to his face. Virgil will just go ahead and wipe the gunk off his shoulder, hurling it right back. So long as its not fistfighting and Stan doesn't want to hear anything verbal, he's totally cool with mudslinging.]
[Virgil scowled, turning back to his work. There was little else to do, but by the time they were finished, Stan might notice the fourth year stacking things with entirely non-verbal spells.]
[Hey, if you don't say the spells, it doesn't count. Virgil continued doing things as he was, turning and motioning to the fact that the professor meant to be watching them wasn't exactly around. So, why not?]
